Botulinium Toxin Α (Botox)
Botox has revolutionized the treatment of facial rhytids. A protein, that weakens muscles that wrinkle the skin, is injected under the skin into areas surrounding the eyes, forehead and mouth to reduce “worry lines”, “crow’s feet” and “frown lines”. The "browlift" - like effect of Botox provides amazing results with no downtime at all.
The procedure is quick and usually painless. The result lasts 4-6 months, so the treatment is usually performed twice per year and a refreshed look is thus maintained. Look now more relaxed and refreshed within days.
Botox is also recommended for treatment of hyperidrosis of armpits, hands or soles (see below).
Fillers for volume restoration, lips enhancement and wrinkles
The aging process comes with volume loss, wrinkles, skin excess and sagging. Today there are many options to maintain your youthful appearance, without going under the knife. Fillers and especially hyaluronic acid is used to correct the signs of aging, the volume loss and enhance your facial features (lips).
Hyaluronic acid is a natural substance of our body, which in its medical form remains to our tissues for 6-12 months. Although swelling or redness can appear after the treatment, they clear quickly. Dr. Seretis offers the most advanced filler rejuvenation techniques with the best products of the market for an excellent result with the minimal downtime.
Fat grafting provides suberb, but also permanent results. Read more about this technique in Liposuction.
Hyperidrosis (Excessive sweating)
There are more than two and a half million excrete sweat glands all over the body. Sweat (perspiration) is a liquid mixture made up of 99% water and 1% salt and fat. Up to a quart of liquid a day can evaporate through the sweat glands. An unpleasant odor occurs when the sweat mixes with bacteria on the skin.
The medical condition, hyperhidrosis, is the embarrassing and inconvenient problem of excessive sweating usually resistant to deodorant. The armpits (axilla), palms and soles are affected because the sweat glands are most abundant in these sites. It affects about 3% of the population, generally starting at adolescence. In most cases no cause is found. However, it does seem to run in families, especially for soles and palms.
The advent of Botox offers an easy, painless and consistent treatment, with long lasting but not permanent results (usually about a year). Done in less than half an hour, without need for anaesthesia. No downtime. Results appear progressively in 3-5 days.
Mesotherapy
Mesotherapy moisturizes, revitalizes and provides a firmer, younger-looking skin.
Mesotherapy has specific indications. Its combination with other non-invasive therapies has synergistic effect, improving the aesthetic outcome and your satisfaction.
